A new assistive device will help make swimming and rehabilitation activities safer, easier, and more inclusive
In June 2026, the Association of Persons with Disabilities „SRNA” put in operation lift pool chair at the town’s swimming pool in Raška, purchase of which was funded by Zlatna Reka Resources.
This valuable equipment is designed to enable safe and dignified access to swimming pools for persons with disabilities and those with reduced mobility: people with obesity, elderly citizens, pregnant women and mothers with small children, as well as persons recovering from temporary injuries.
The donation improves accessibility for those who use swimming for recreation, therapy, or rehabilitation.
With this, the entire pool would become more accessible, safer, and more inclusive for everyone. By removing a major physical barrier, the chair creates new opportunities for recreation, rehabilitation, and social participation, while reducing strain on users, caregivers, and pool staff.
Social Importance of this donation
This support reconfirms that Zlatna Reka Resources d.o.o. values the quality of life of all citizens and recognizes the importance of investing in inclusion in communities where it operates.
The donation will bring lasting and visible value for the local community and would enable persons with disabilities in this region, for the first time, to use the pool in a way that is already standard in major cities.
On this occasion lady president of the Association of Persons with Disabilities „SRNA“, Mrs Dušica Petrović, handed in the thanking plaquette to Zlatna Reka Resources, that was received by Mrs. Ivana Miletić, Environmental Protection Officer.
