Educational Visits Held at High Schools in Novi Pazar and Raška
As part of an educational campaign aimed at introducing young people to the fields of geology, mining, and environmental protection, visits to high schools in Novi Pazar and Raška were carried out on 15th and 16th December 2025 by the Faculty of Mining and Geology. Lectures, presentations accompanied with display samples of real earth minerals and rocks sought to familiarize students with these disciplines and highlight the broad educational and professional opportunities they offer.
During the visits, students were introduced to the fundamentals of geological research and the importance of preserving natural resources. Particular emphasis was placed on understanding the role these disciplines play in the development of energy systems, environmental protection, and the application of modern technologies.
The program included a short educational presentation on study programs and career prospects, as well as an interactive workshop on identifying minerals and rocks under a microscope, which generated strong interest among students. An open discussion with the lecturers allowed students to ask questions and receive guidance regarding their future educational choices.
