On November 25th, 2025, an Open Day event was organised at the premises of ZRR’s CoreShed in Raška.
Invited organisations were: educational institutions, from which pupils were participating within a Work Experience program at Zlatna Reka Resources, sports, cultural and artistic clubs and societies, all from both Novi Pazar and Raska.
There were attendees, visitors from educational and sports organisations from both Novi Pazar and Raška.
Participants were first notified on the health and safety norms and rules at the location, then introduced to company, its work and relations with community.
Within main program, first the Project Archaeologist Jelena presented the archaeological, cultural and historical aspects as well as heritage protection before and during the works, abidance by the conditions issued by the Cultural Monuments Protection Administration. Then, the Head Geologist Milorad spoke on Geology of the licensed area, explained the techniques of research and work and gave the overall insight into geological surveys. Geological technician Igor showed examples of core and explained what processes and analysis are executed in the course of work. Employee in charge of the environmental protection, Ivana, spoke on the care that is being paid to environmental aspects both before, during and after the works, waste management, reporting, reforestation and recultivation.
During the event, visitors learned that Zlatna Reka Resources as a company conducts exploration activities in accordance with the laws and strict regulations of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Mining and Energy, with a strong commitment to environmental stewardship, and that its approach emphasizes safety, cultural understanding, and open, constructive communication. The data on local employment and sustainable development were also presented.
Info Center of the Zlatna Reka Resources in Novi Pazar and attending staff were also open to visitors.
Next Open Day events are planned, and the aim is to invite all citizens, civic societies, organisations and local community groups.
